Any body corporate established and subject to the
laws of some part of His Majesty's Dominions, and having its principal place of business in those dominions, is qualified to be the owner of a British ship, even though the individual members of such a body corporate may be aliens: See Merchant Shipping Act, 1894, S.I. (d), R. v. Arnaud,(1846) 9 Q.B. 806, and Temperley's Merchant Shipping Acts, 1907, page 2.
Whatever question might arise if a majirity of the shareholdere were resident or commercially domiciled in German
Mr. Bune territory, the point does not seem to arise here. apne ara to be in Manila at present but he has been establish- ed here in business for some time; Mr. Rosemann is believed to be in Australia; and Mr. Christiani is said to be in Europe.
